Your doll, made
by hand, for you.
This is the slowest thing we make, and the one people cry over. Send us a photo of what you want — we match the colours to real yarn, then hook the body, the hair and the outfit by hand, one stitch at a time. Which is why no two dolls are ever identical. Nothing here is machine-made.

Every doll is worked in rounds of single crochet, so you can see the stitch rows where it turns over. Colours are matched to what you send us — cream tabby for a cat called Momo, silver for a mermaid, pink and blue for a girl with balloons. Send us a reference and we will match it the same way.
Made to order
Hooked by hand, so the price follows the hours.
A 10 cm pocket pal and an 18 cm doll with long yarn hair are very different amounts of yarn and very different numbers of hours. Here’s roughly what each size runs, and the exact number lands in your quote once we’ve seen your reference.
| 10 cm · Pocket pal | $99 — about 5 hours at the hook, one to two weeks from start to finish |
|---|---|
| 13 cm · Cuddle size | $129 — 6 to 7 hours at the hook, two to three weeks. The most-gifted version |
| 18 cm · Full sit | $85 — three weeks or more, sits up on its own, arms and all |
| Outfit & extras | A crocheted jacket, scarf or collar, quoted with the doll |
How the quote works. Send your photo, we come back with a price and a free sketch within a couple of days. Nothing is started until you approve both.
Order two and save $13, and they ship in a custom printed box. Dolls are made to order in one to three weeks, so we start once payment clears. Shipping is quoted separately because an 18 cm doll is a bulky parcel, not a letter.
The process
Why this one takes longer.
It's not a print. It's a hook, some yarn, and a few hundred hours of the kind of patience you can't rush.
1. We match the colours
Send a photo in good light. We pick yarn to match what you sent us — not "generic cream", but the exact warm grey of a British shorthair, the two-tone of a Siamese mix, or the silver of a mermaid's hair.
2. You approve a sketch
Before we buy anything, we draw the doll and send you the colour plan. Change the ear shape, the eye spacing, add a scarf — it's free and it's yours.
3. It's hooked
Body, head, ears, limbs — all crocheted by hand over one to three weeks depending on size. This is the part that can't be rushed or resourced.
4. Detailed, shaped, finished
Embroidered eyes and nose, stitched whiskers and blush, a light fill so the shape holds, and a small collar so it can sit up. Then it ships in a box, not an envelope.

The doll you order will be as individual as the ones above — same care, different stitches.
Questions
The ones people ask before ordering.
It will look like your reference the way a portrait looks like someone — recognisable shape, colouring and expression, interpreted in crochet. It is not a photo in 3D, and we don't pretend otherwise. If you want a literal photo reproduction, the acrylic keychain is the closer match.
Standard yarn, worked in rounds with a hook and lightly filled so the shape holds. Facial details are embroidered and stitched, not glued — we avoid plastic safety eyes for that reason. That said, no crocheted doll is indestructible: a determined cat will find a way.
Yes. Send a clear side-on photo plus one of the face. The more angles we get, the closer we can land on ear shape, muzzle length and coat pattern — or on the costume details, if it is a character.
Because a keychain is printed in minutes and a doll is hooked by hand over one to three weeks. There's no way to make one faster, and we're not going to pretend a machine did it.
Send photos within 7 days. If it isn't right, tell us honestly what to change and we'll rework it once at no charge. Beyond that, handmade items can't be returned for change-of-mind, so we put extra care into the approved sketch instead.
Yes. We hand-write the card and leave the price off the packing slip, so the recipient never sees it.
